In order to achieve the best results & retention, please follow the pre and post care instructions as outlined in this care sheet. If you are unable to follow these instructions at the time before and after your appointment, it is best you reschedule.
LASH TINTS: Please follow the same Pre Appointment Care for Before & Day Of Appointment
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
The 24 hours leading up to your appointment:
- DO NOT use any face or eye creams, serums, eyelash tint, perming solutions, eye makeup, strip lashes, mascara or eyelash curlers.
- You will not be able to wet your eyelashes immediately after your appointment, so be prepared by washing your hair and showering prior to your appointment.
On the day of your appointment:
- Bring your music and earphones for a relaxing service or even enjoy a lovely Lash Nap! I love getting to know my clients, however during the lash service, I stick to a "no talking" rule to ensure minimal movement so that all extensions are applied correctly for the health and retention of your lashes!
- Avoid all caffeine sources (tea, coffee, pop, energy drinks). Caffeine can cause jitters and your eyes to consistently flutter, making it more difficult for your lash artist.
- Limit your fluid intake. You will be lying down with your eyes closed for several hours (depending on service), so best to plan for a beauty nap for the duration of your appointment.
- Be sure to eat a substantial meal so you are not hungry during your appointment.
- Arrive to your appointment with clean skin with no traces of makeup or oils.
- No Contact Lens during any treatment, so please bring a case for them.
AFTERCARE ADVICE
- Do not get your Lashes Wet for 2 hours . . . . . Yup! There's no typo! As we use London Lash's Superbonder to complete your lash service, the adhesive is completely waterproof within 2 hours.
- Do not Steam your Lashes for 48 hours . . . . . This includes hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, & steaming facials.
- Avoid the use of Oil-based products . . . . . These products will loosen the bond causing lash extensions to fall off.
- Do not Rub, Pick, Pet, Twist, or Tug at your Lashes . . . . . This can cause your natural lashes to fall out prematurely and cause both breakage and permanent damage to the hair follicle. Excessively touching your lash extensions will also transfer oils & bacteria from your hands to your lashes, causing the breakdown of the adhesive, and possibility of infections.
- Clean your Lashes Regularly . . . . . Using a lash shampoo to avoid getting an eye infection. (see How to Clean your Lash Extensions below)
- Do not Brush Eyelash Extensions when they are Wet . . . . . Water adds extra weight, so ensure lashes are dry before brushing them to avoid pulling them out.
- Do not Sleep with your Face directly on the pillow . . . . . Please note, that whichever side you sleep on, you will experience more lash loss.
- Do not Worry when you lose an Extension . . . . . Each extension will fall out with its natural lash during its normal growth cycle. Anywhere between 2-6 lashes per day is considered normal.
- Avoid being too close to Heat sources, such as your oven, fireplace, stove, bonfires, hairdryers, and open flames . . . . . Excessive heat can breakdown the adhesives, as well as singe the extensions.
- Do not use Eyelash Curlers . . . . . as they will break the glue bond
- Do not Perm or Tint your Lashes
- Do not use Waterproof Mascara or Liquid & Gel Eyeliners
- Do not apply Strip lashes or Clusters on your Eyelash Extensions
- Schedule Infills every 2-3 weeks to Extend the Life of your Lashes!

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS IN 5 SIMPLE STEPS
- Wet your lashes.
- Take a pump of lash shampoo and use a clean fluffy brush to help the foam reach between the lashes more efficiently.
- Rinse off the shampoo thoroughly and ensure no shampoo residue is left on the lashes.
- Use a clean paper towel or tissue to Pat dry the lashes (do NOT rub). Using a paper towel helps to prevent getting lint or fibers stuck in the lashes.
- After they are dry, brush through your lashes with a spoolie using upwards motion. Comb through from mid-shaft to tips, not from the base of the extensions
For best results, we recommend washing your lashes daily.
EXTRA TIPS:
- Use sponge-tipped applicators to spot clean stubborn makeup residue (not cotton swabs or rounds, as they can leave lint on your lash extensions).
- Apply eye creams and serums sparingly near the eyelashes. Blot off all excess that has not been absorbed into the skin after 2 minutes. If you have oily skin, use blotting papers throughout the day to remove excess oil.
